Your new company A long-established organisation in engineering based in Ringaskiddy, Cork.
This is an on-site, full-time permanent role.
Your new role Assist in closing out month-end procedures including posting of all monthly transactions including bank postings, accruals, fixed assets and prepayments Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and take appropriate actions to clear all reconciling items Assist in preparing bi-monthly management accounts and reports Assist in preparing the submissions of monthly tax returns (VAT, PAYE, RCT etc.)
Assist procurement team in accurate recording of purchase orders Support the statutory audit process.
Contribute to the development of new accounting / ERP systems, programs, and procedures.
Record credit card transactions and reconcile to monthly statements Perform monthly vendor balance reconciliations to vendor statements Assist finance team members with various tasks and projects as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed Accountancy/Business Qualification and/or commenced a recognised accountancy course or qualified through experience Ability to meet weekly / monthly deadlines.
Ability to work flexibly on your own initiative and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and process Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience working within a busy finance department.
