As a dedicated professional in the disability sector, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living and enabling them to live independent lives in line with national standards.
You will empower Service Users to live independent lives within their residential home and community, transport service users facilitating access to daily living activities, participate in household duties such as cooking, laundry, general cleaning, and shopping, maintain professional communication and relationships with the team, be aware of safe working conditions and implement safe work practices immediately reporting potential hazards incidents and concerns, positively engage in team meetings supervisions training and team events Alongside other duties you will provide an excellent standard of care to the service users.
Key Responsibilities:
* To support Service Users in achieving their goals and aspirations
* To facilitate access to daily living activities for Service Users
* To maintain a clean and safe environment for Service Users
* To communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders
* To stay up-to-date with relevant policies procedures and guidelines
* To contribute to the development of the service and its users
Required Skills and Qualifications:
QQI relevant qualification within the Healthcare Sector (Minimum QQI Level 5 major award with 8 modules completed)
Full clean manual driving license and access to own transport
Excellent command of spoken and written English
Knowledge of national standards
Work or student experience in social care or relevant sector
