Junior Civil/Structural Engineer

Inform3 are seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer for a busy civil and building design consultancy company to join their busy office in Galway.
Client has over 20 years' experience in consultancy looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience to join their busy office.
Junior Civil/Structural Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Draft and create drawings, designs, and diagrams.
- Develop design concepts and perform structural design calculations.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects when preparing drawings and designs.
- Accurately calculate dimensions and allowances.
- Revise drawings and layouts to incorporate changes and improvements.
- Be willing and responsive to the demands and coordination of other design team members, clients, and contractors.
- Liaise with external consultants and clients.
- Periodically visit sites to take measurements.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as needed.
Junior Civil/Structural Engineer Job Specification:
- Level 8 degree in civil or structural engineering.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in an engineering design office (or a similar environment).
- Experience working on a diverse range of projects is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit with the capability to prepare detailed technical designs and drawings to a high standard.
- Essential knowledge of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English).
- Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and the ability to research topics thoroughly.
