Safety and Health Professional
As a seasoned Safety and Health Professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe working environments on complex construction projects. Your strong background in health and safety will be instrumental in maintaining a positive culture within the organization.
* Conduct thorough site audits to identify potential hazards and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Analyze incidents using root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
* Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, including inductions, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings, to promote a proactive approach to safety and health.
This role requires a deep understanding of statutory requirements, safety and health systems, and processes. You should have proven experience in inspections, investigations, and accurate reporting. Key responsibilities include:
* Driving a culture of continuous improvement and zero harm.
* Maintaining full compliance with legislative requirements and organizational safety and health policies.
* Participating in pre-tender submissions and client interviews.
* Carrying out regular site inspections and audits.
* Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Supporting external audits and inspections.
* Delivering training, inductions, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings.
* Compiling end-of-project documentation for Safety and Environmental compliance.
* Managing high-risk activities, including complex temporary works, deep excavations, design scaffolding, and other hazardous operations.
