Qualifications
Master's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human–Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related fields.
7+ years of relevant experience in consumer‑facing business domains.
Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing, and communicating research.
Experience with qualitative methods (interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think‑aloud usability testing, etc.).
Experience with quantitative research (metrics, survey design, sampling, statistical concepts, etc.).
Experience evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors.
Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative data.
Critical thinking beyond business requests.
Excellent storytelling and communication skills, fluent in English.
Enjoys collaborative work in a dynamic, data‑driven and creative environment.
Responsibilities
Own end‑to‑end planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of research projects, consistently delivering insights needed by product teams.
Lead core research activities—defining objectives, hypotheses, methodology, execution, analysis, and communication.
Function independently in all operational research tasks.
Apply sound judgement when evaluating research opportunities for importance, urgency, and impact.
Evaluate details of research requests and propose solid research solutions.
Maintain knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods, triangulate findings, and innovate new methods collaboratively with senior researchers.
Use appropriate tools and inspection methods to quantify the value and efficiency of research.
Ensure data compliance and ethics in all activities.
Drive cross‑discipline collaboration via research insights and activities.
Communicate results concisely to different audiences and be open to feedback.
Contribute to the research community by coaching, sharing methodologies, and mentoring other researchers.
