Our organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Support Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative and secretarial skills, with the ability to provide high-quality support to legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing administrative support to legal executives and lawyers, including producing legal documents, scheduling appointments, and managing court appearances.
* Assisting in the preparation of court papers, contracts, and other legal documents.
* Accompanying solicitors to police cells or the courtroom as required.
* Answering all telephone calls and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
* Managing petty cash and maintaining accurate records of costs.
* Scheduling court depositions, hearings, and other meetings.
* Accurately filing documents with the court ahead of deadlines.
* Transcribing and proofreading legal documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 1 year's experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.
* Familiarity with legal documents and terminology.
* Working knowledge of litigation management software systems.
* Ability to type with a speed of at least 50 wpm with high accuracy.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
* Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
