SHEQ Manager
Job Title:
We are seeking an experienced SHEQ professional to lead the implementation and maintenance of robust Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality compliance systems across multiple projects in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience auditing against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems. They will also possess excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, review and update SHEQ policies and procedures in line with legislation and industry best practice
* Create project-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Carry out regular site visits to monitor safety performance and ensure compliance
* Lead risk evaluations and implement preventive measures
* Coordinate with HR to deliver safety inductions and training for employees and contractors
* Inspect plant, equipment and machinery to ensure compliance with safety standards
* Compile quality reports, statistical reviews and other relevant documentation
* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in a Health & Safety role within construction or related sectors
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Experience auditing against ISO 45001
* Strong working knowledge of safety regulations in the UK and Ireland
* IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
* Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across NI and ROI
