This is an exciting oportunity for a passionate individual to join our Michelin star Restuarant as Sommelier.Reporting to the Restuarant Manager, this is an important and valued role within our F&B team which is responsible for overseeing the service of wine & liquor in conjunction with the F&B Manager.Duties Include (but are not limited to:)Maintain and develop the wine cellarTo have excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails recipes, spirits and cocktail makingEnsure appropriate glasses are used for different types of wineEnsure wine is served at the right temperature.Responsible for ensuring wine and bar orders are placed every week and stock levels are maintained, using the PO system at all times.To ensure the wine list reflects the standards set up after the opening and Wine Geese are represented.Delivery of both wine & whiskey tastings to guests and ensure the experience is of the highest standards.To keep up to date with menus in order to provide best options in terms of wine pairingUnderstand the service needs, standards of service and working practices involved in working functions and weddings which may involve different shift patterns.Assist in the preparation and setting of food and beverage areasBe aware of security and ensure the bar and cellar and all stock is kept secure at all timesTo ensure full handover is given to the Restuarant Manager /F&B Manager before your days off to avoid any confusion for guestsSkills/AttributesExcellent knowledge of wine, cocktails & beveragesExcellent communication skillsPassion for exceptional customer service & offering the guest experienceTeam playerThis is an exciting opportunity to the right candidate to join an award winning 5 star luxury team.
