We are currently seeking an experienced qualified Financial Accountant with 8+ years' experience to join our fast-paced Finance team.
As a Financial Accountant with Susquehanna, you will perform a key role in the finance team and oversee the preparation of financial, regulatory, and statistical reporting for various entities.
You will adapt quickly to a busy environment, enhancing systems, processes, and internal controls.
This role offers exposure to trading operations and support teams to build knowledge of global financial markets in a fast-paced trading environment.
You will possess technical expertise and a proactive mindset, enjoying problem-solving, learning new things, and finding better ways of working.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions.
Review accounting policies and procedures, recommending improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.
Manage the trading P&L and balance sheet of a trading entity with SIG.
Oversee month-end reporting packs for several group entities and present to management committee members.
Prepare statutory financial statements at year-end.
Support the broader finance function on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Mentor junior team members, fostering development and high performance.
What We're Looking For
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proven experience handling complex accounting and technical issues under IFRS/GAAP.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks is an advantage.
Strong, confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
