We are currently seeking an experienced qualified Financial Accountant with 8+ years’ experience to join our fast‑paced Finance team. As a Financial Accountant with Susquehanna, you will perform a key role in the finance team and oversee the preparation of financial, regulatory, and statistical reporting for various entities. You will adapt quickly to a busy environment, enhancing systems, processes, and internal controls. This role offers exposure to trading operations and support teams to build knowledge of global financial markets in a fast‑paced trading environment. You will possess technical expertise and a proactive mindset, enjoying problem‑solving, learning new things, and finding better ways of working.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions.
* Review accounting policies and procedures, recommending improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.
* Manage the trading P&L and balance sheet of a trading entity with SIG.
* Oversee month‑end reporting packs for several group entities and present to management committee members.
* Prepare statutory financial statements at year‑end.
* Support the broader finance function on strategic initiatives and cross‑functional projects.
* Mentor junior team members, fostering development and high performance.
What We’re Looking For
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
* Proven experience handling complex accounting and technical issues under IFRS/GAAP.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
* Exposure to regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks is an advantage.
* Strong, confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
