Job Purpose and Reporting Line The role is responsible for drafting minutes of Board and Management level committee meetings and for drafting responses to regulatory queries. The role will report to the Head of Risk. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Write high-quality minutes for the Board and its sub-committees. Write high-quality minutes for the Companys risk committees and management committees. Circulate draft minutes for review in a timely manner and incorporate feedback into the final minutes. Draft, update and revise responses to regulatory queries based on responses and inputs received from internal stakeholders. Manage the Companys regulatory affairs process including ensuring regulatory queries are responded to in a timely manner. Work closely with the Head of Compliance and business units to ensure responses to regulatory queries are of a high standard, clear and concise. Responsible for maintaining and updating action tracking sheets as part of the Companys regulatory affairs procedure. Assist the Company Secretary/Head of Risk in company secretarial filings. Attend and complete IT Security training and any other training as required. Such other duties as assigned by the Head of Risk. Knowledge & Skills Knowledge Primary or masters degree qualified in area of study which demonstrates a precise command of the English language in a formal context (eg law). Insurance knowledge or experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Word. Fast, accurate typing ability. Experience in company secretarial work would be an advantage but is not essential. Skills Previous minute taking experience or formal writing experience (eg writing for an academic journal) would be a distinct advantage. Able to learn new concepts quickly. Excellent English grammar. Excellent standard of writing in the English language. Excellent ability to understand spoken English in a fast-paced committee environment. Ability to absorb verbal content, distil the key message and commit it to writing accurately first time is essential. Strong familiarity with formal communication styles, verbal and written, in a business environment. Highly organised, reliable, able to meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously, as part of a team and across teams. Excellent communication and inter-personal skills with commercial awareness.
