Job Description:
* Lead the full commercial management of large-scale construction projects, ensuring cost-effective delivery and contract compliance.
* Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to ensure timely completion and financial stability.
* Oversee tendering processes, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiation to secure the best possible deals for the organization.
* Monitor and report on project progress, variations, valuations, and claims to maintain accurate records and prevent disputes.
* Provide strategic input on risk management, value engineering, and cost control measures to optimize project outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline is required.
* Minimum of 4+ years' experience in a QS role, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity is preferred.
* Proven background in delivering medium to large-scale projects, ideally in the Irish market is highly valued.
* Strong understanding of contracts (e.g. RIAI, Public Works, FIDIC, NEC) is essential.
* Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and analytical skills are required.
* Strong leadership and communication abilities are necessary to work effectively with clients and team members.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. Buildsoft, Cubit, Excel, CostX) is desirable.
