Digital Communications Officer (Grade V)
St. Michael's House seeks a full-time, permanent Digital Communications Officer to support the development, management and execution of a digital communication strategy.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and knowledgeable in all things digital, including creating compelling content for social media, websites and e-newsletters aligned with the vision, mission and values of St Michael's House.
Essential Qualifications:
* Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism or other relevant qualification (at degree level)
* Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and administrative ability, for the proper discharge of the role.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Formal education or CPD in the area of disability, inclusion, or accessibility.
Essential Experience:
* 2+ years' experience in a digital media, digital content, or communications role
* Proven track record of creating and managing engaging content across various digital platforms
* Experience using social media tools, design software, email marketing tools, website content management systems, video editing software, and strong administrative experience
Desirable Experience:
* Experience in a similar role in the health and social care field
* Understanding of SEO, Google Ads, and Google Analytics
* Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with an understanding of how to adapt content for different channels and audiences
* Innovative thinking with a strong understanding of current digital trends and the ability to create fresh ideas for digital campaigns
* Experience with paid advertising on social media platforms
* Knowledge of Microsoft Packages
SALARY SCALE:
Successful candidates will be remunerated in line with the HSE revised consolidated Clerical Officer Grade V scale: €51,206– €61,253 per annum based on working a 35-hour week
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad
HOLIDAYS: 30 days per annum pro rota based on hours worked
