Job Title:Senior Planner – Major Roads SchemeLocation:Dublin, IrelandJob Type:Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to Eur100,000 per annum plus additional benefitsOverview:We are seeking an experiencedSenior Plannerwith a strong civil engineering background to join our client for a high-profilemajor roads infrastructure schemebased inDublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, monitoring, and management of the project programme, working closely with the design, construction, and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery.Key Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project .Provide planning support across all project phases — from design and procurement through to construction and commissioning.Work closely with the project team to integrate all aspects of the programme, including design, consents, construction activities, utilities, and stakeholder interfaces.Monitor progress against the baseline programme, identify variances, and advise on mitigation strategies.Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and critical path analysis for internal and client reporting.Contribute to project risk assessments and mitigation planning from a scheduling perspective.Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties to ensure alignment of project timelines and deliverables.Support commercial teams with delay analysis, EOT claims, and forensic planning if required.Ensure compliance with client planning requirements and contribute to planning input in client meetings.Mentor and support junior planners and assist in promoting best planning practices across the team.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (essential).Minimum 5 years' experience in a planning role, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity .Proven experience working on major roads, highways, or large-scale infrastructure projects .Proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential; knowledge of MS Project and other planning tools advantageous.Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and sequences.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience in NEC or FIDIC contract environments desirable.Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.Knowledge of Irish planning regulations and experience on projects in the Republic of Ireland is an advantage.Benefits:Up to Eur100,000 per annumCompany vehicle or vehicle allowancePension and private healthcare plansOpportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure project in Dublin.Professional development and career progression opportunities.Collaborative and dynamic working environment.How to Apply:Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and availability to and we will be in contact to discuss further.We look forward to hearing from you.
