Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client is currently recruiting a Head of Quality, Safety and Service Improvement for their organisation based in the West of Ireland. This organisation is dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, along with their families and offer a diverse range of services including residential and respite care, home-sharing programs, supported living, adult day services, therapeutic and social work supports.
The successful candidate will
· play a pivotal role in driving quality, safety, and continuous improvement across all services.
· responsible for developing a culture of excellence, person-centred care, and regulatory compliance.
· oversight of clinical and non-clinical governance, incident management, policy development, audit and risk processes, staff training, complaints management, and alignment with national healthcare standards.
· leading strategic initiatives, advising on service development, supporting managers in achieving compliance, and ensuring quality and safety are embedded throughout operations.

Essential Criteria (must-haves):
1. Educational Qualifications:
2. A relevant Level 8 or higher qualification in one of the following:
3. Quality, Safety, Risk Management, or Clinical Governance in Healthcare
4. Social Care + a qualification in Quality/Safety/Risk
5. Registered Nurse (NMBI) – RNID/RGN/RMHN desirable
6. Experience:
7. At least 3 years' senior management experience in a healthcare setting
8. Proven experience in clinical governance, service planning, safety, and risk management
9. Demonstrated experience in leading change and implementing quality and safety improvements
10. Experience dealing with regulatory compliance (HIQA, HSA, etc.)
11. Skills and Competencies:
12. Strong leadership and management skills
13. Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks (HIQA, HSA, etc.)
14. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
15. Proven analytical, audit, and problem-solving abilities
16. Ability to manage and lead audit, policy development, and risk registers
17. High IT proficiency and report writing skills

19. Full, clean driver's licence and access to transport

22. Willingness to participate in an on-call senior management rota
Desirable Criteria (adds value):
23. RNID/RGN/RMHN qualification
24. Proven ability to develop and deliver staff training
