Kildare are currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team and play a key role in keeping the production facility running smoothly.
About the Role As an Engineering Technician, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team of fitters and electricians responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our plant and equipment.
Your work will focus on delivering both planned and reactive maintenance support, troubleshooting, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities Provide planned and reactive maintenance support across the site Install, commission, and troubleshoot plant equipment Carry out basic programming and diagnostics Support preventive maintenance programs to minimise downtime Provide technical support for plant facilities (compressed air, refrigeration, etc.) Assist with risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety policies (permits, etc.) Work with suppliers on equipment installation and modifications Support production teams with line performance improvements and call-out cover What Were Looking For Essential: Relevant third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or time-served Electrician Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance (planned & reactive) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on own initiative Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements (lock-out/tag-out, risk assessments) Desirable: Mechanical qualification or hands-on mechanical experience Experience with motor control systems, pneumatics, process temperature controls Familiarity with CMMS systems and PLC/PC control systems Shift Pattern & Benefits Weekly rotating shifts: Days: 06:00 14:30 Evenings: % shift allowance) Competitive salary (€45,000 + DOE) Opportunity to work in a growing international company with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and professional development Skills: Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering
