We recognise that our greatest assets are the amazing staff that we work with here in Clonmel and we are currently looking to expand our team of bottling line operators.
It is the objective of the line operators to ensure that all products are packed to the highest standards and in accordance with Merrys policies, procedures, quality standards (BRC, HSE ) and food safety plan (HACCP) and threat analysis FIRST training (VACCP) and our Food Safety Culture Plan.
Complies with our TAYGO SYSTEM – Tidy as you go – ensures all workstations are tidy during the day and is cleaned/washed and sanitised down at the end of each day. Vital too, is that everyone plays their part in keeping canteen, toilets and locker rooms clean and tidy at all times.
It is the objective of the Manufacturing Operator to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest standards and in accordance with Merrys and customers policies, procedures, quality standards (BRC, HSE) and food safety plan (HACCP) and VACCP study – FIRST Training video.
Position Objective:
To supervise and coordinate personnel and operations in a manner that will optimise the company's market share and savings, improve the company's efficiency, help achieve the company's mission and goals and result in outstanding quality products and service.
It is the objective of the Manufacturing Supervisor to manage the manufacturing, storage & barrelling (where applicable) of all products on site according to customer specifications and legal and Food safety, authenticity, legality and quality (HACCP) requirements. Also to ensure all products are manufactured and stored within agreed time frame, specifications and targets are met. Carry out NPD (New Product Developments) & ensuring all new projects are in compliance with our current NPD, Food safety, authenticity, legality and quality and quality management systems and procedures and our current HACCP.
Position Responsibilities:
· Adequate hygienic control, storage and stock take of all incoming ingredients, control of process, maintenance of processing equipment and management of manufacturing staff.
· Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained at all times.
· ensuring ingredients is of the highest quality and deliveries are on time. Liaising with QA Dept when new suppliers are being assessed prior to supply.
· Supervising the manufacturing team to ensure that the service, quality, Food safety, authenticity, legality and quality, legality and cost objectives are achieved.
· Ensure proper document control of traceability records & recipe generation. Ensure recipe generation is as per order requirements and customer requirements.
· Ensure recipe is adhered to at all times and quantities are measured accurately using calibrated equipment only.
· Ensure safety standards are met and safe-working practices adhered to. Also ensuring the staff working environment is safe and sanitary.
· Ensure all procedures are adhered to and that all GMP and hygiene requirements are maintained.
· Ensure all products manufactured are within specification and according to HACCP requirements and have the organoleptic and quality properties which satisfy both legal and customer requirements. Liaising with the Quality Control Department on same.
· Training of all new staff in the manufacture and storage of products etc. ensure training records up to date.
· Dealing with contractors and maintenance personnel to ensure maximum productivity.
· Liasing with custom officer in regards of dutiable ingredients
* Ensure all NPDs are compliant with current Food safety, authenticity, legality and quality standards, legislation and Food safety, authenticity, legality and quality, quality management system and meet customer requirements.
Site Security
* No unauthorised personnel are permitted in this area. It is the responsibility of any member of staff accompanying a visitor around the factory to ensure that they are correctly attired and follow company hygiene rules. In the interest of Food safety, authenticity, legality, quality and hygiene site security must be maintained. If unfamiliar persons are in your area, please advise bottling manager or member of QA immediately.
* Report any evidence of tampering of product/ materials – bottles and caps etc immediately to your manager and the QA Dept. Do not use any items which shows signs of tampering- broken seals/ damaged outer packaging.
