Partner Financial are pleased to be supporting a leading consumer business in the appointment of a Head of Financial Reporting & Control. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CFO, with responsibility for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening the control environment, and supporting the ongoing evolution of the finance function.The business is entering a phase where greater rigour, transparency and consistency across financial reporting and controls are key priorities. While established processes are in place, there is an opportunity to enhance governance, improve documentation and embed a more robust and scalable control framework.Working closely with the CFO, auditors and senior stakeholders, the role will lead all aspects of financial reporting, technical accounting and compliance. Alongside this, the Head of Financial Reporting & Control will play a central role in driving process improvement, supporting system optimisation and enhancing the overall effectiveness of finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Oversee statutory reporting under IFRS and ensure all regulatory and reporting deadlines are met.Provide technical accounting expertise across complex areas and maintain consistent accounting policies.Strengthen the financial control environment and governance across core finance processes.Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, controls and provisioning.Lead the external audit process and manage relationships with auditors and key stakeholders.Identify and deliver process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy and transparency.Support finance transformation initiatives, including systems and automation.Develop and lead a high-performing financial reporting and controls team.Partner with senior stakeholders to provide insight on financial governance, risk and control matters.Qualifications and ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with strong experience in financial reporting and control within a large or complex organisation.Deep technical accounting expertise, including IFRS, with a proven track record of strengthening controls, processes and governance frameworks.Experience working with auditors and operating within group or multinational environments.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, influence senior stakeholders, and communicate complex technical information clearly.Collaborative, credible and pragmatic approach, with strong analytical capability, attention to detail and commercial awareness.Resilient and adaptable with the ability to bring structure and clarity in fast-paced environments.
