Overview
We are currently looking for a Bar Person to join our team at The Lodge at Ashford Castle.
The Lodge at Ashford Castle sits within the magnificent 350 acre Ashford Castle estate.
This property overlooks Lough Corrib and offers country house charm, fine dining in Wilde's Restaurant and an exceptional range of estate activities.
It is one of Ireland's finest wedding destinations, pairing warm Irish hospitality with a modern appeal.
Responsibilities
To warmly welcome guests into the Bar and maintain a warm, welcoming and friendly demeanour at all times.
To ensure the bar is always fully stocked and ready for service (prepare mise en place) adhering to set standards.
To keep the Bar area clean and tidy at all times and ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to.
To be responsible for the professional dispensing and serving of drinks with minimal fuss or delay.
To learn, understand and describe accurately all drinks on the menus so that guests' questions can be answered correctly and without delay.
Qualifications
Have previous experience within a similar role.
Have excellent communication skills.
Be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
Have strong attention to detail.
Be friendly, bubbly and flexible in attitude.
Have the ability to handle busy situations and manage workload effectively.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of cocktail recipes and techniques, preparing and serving a wide range of classic and contemporary drinks with consistency, creativity, and attention to presentation.
Employment Details
This is a casual position, therefore hours of work may vary.
All candidates would need to be available to work five days a week between Monday and Sunday.
