We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technology function, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data warehousing solutions for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake and a deep understanding of its capabilities and limitations. You should be well-versed in data modeling, data integration, and data curation, as well as possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
* Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on cloud-based infrastructure using Snowflake, Azure, DBT, Airflow, and Cosmos DB
* Implement automation of jobs and testing, ensuring high-quality data and efficient processing
* Optimize data pipeline performance, supporting workloads and use cases
* Support mission-critical applications and near real-time data needs from the data platform
* Address data issues, environment issues, performing impact analysis, root cause analysis, corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance
Requirements:
* 7+ years of experience in professional database and data warehouse development
* 6+ years of experience on Snowflake development, including Snowpipes, Snowshare, Task, Streams, UDFs, and Procedures
* 6+ years of experience on cloud-based development, including Azure Services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and Docker
* Experience with agile development methodology and Scrum principles
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
