You will oversee start to finish order fulfilment, customer service, stock control, supplier coordination, building facilities management, internal standards and H.R requirements to ensure the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.The role requires strong judgment, calm decision-making, commercial awareness, and the ability to maintain high standards across multiple moving parts.The ideal candidate will have the required skills and experience, while also being adaptable and ready to handle challenges as they arise. A positive, solutions-focused attitude is essential.Key Responsibilities Operational OversightLead daily warehouse and fulfilment operationsEnsure accurate, on-time order dispatchMaintain high standards of packing quality and presentationMonitor workflow to prevent bottlenecksEnsure operational issues are resolved quickly and permanentlyOversee facilities management of the premises, ensuring the workspace is safe, organised, and operating efficiently at all times.Customer Service OversightOversee the Customer Service Manager and support service standardsMonitor response times, returns, reviews, and service qualityEnsure customer promises align with operational realityStep in on escalated issues when requiredStock & Supplier ManagementOversee stock levels, forecasting, and purchasingWork closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveriesMonitor product quality and address supplier issuesPrevent stockouts and excess holding through accurate planningProcess & SystemsEnsure operational systems are followed and continuously improvedMaintain clear internal and external documentation and proceduresImprove efficiency without compromising qualityIdentify recurring issues and implement root-cause solutionsPerformance & AccountabilityMaintain team standards and moraleAddress underperformance directly and constructivelyInternal CommunicationAct as the central coordination point between all departments: Warehouse, Salesfloor, Workshop, Customer Service, Marketing, Media, Accounts and ManagementEnsure information flows clearly across departmentsProvide regular operational updates to senior leadershipManage staff rosters and oversee all annual leave and sick leave requests.What We're Looking ForProven experience in operations management, e-commerce, retail, or fulfilment environmentsStrong leadership and decision-making abilityHighly organised with excellent attention to detailComfortable managing both people and processesCommercially aware and solution-focusedCalm under pressure, adaptable and able to prioritise effectivelyExperience working with inventory and operational systemsAccountabilityThis is a senior management role with responsibility for maintaining operational stability and performance during the maternity cover period.
