Automation/Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Automation/Manufacturing Engineer to take on a key role in maintaining automation equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.
* Support the design, installation, and validation of automated production lines to meet quality standards.
* Lead systematic technical root cause investigations to resolve issues efficiently.
* Develop and implement production methods and controls to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
* Monitor additive manufacturing processes, troubleshoot problems, and assist in resolving quality issues.
* Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality.
* Manage project budgets, liaise with customers and contractors as required, and support technical training.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP practices and recording of events and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have honours degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar discipline and 3-6 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with high volume automated assembly experience or medical device manufacturing experience.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent organizational, communication, computer, and presentation skills.
* Systematic troubleshooting skills and strong leadership of technical issue resolution.
* Lean Six Sigma skills are an advantage.
* Good data analysis skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, MS Project.
Working Conditions:
* Travel may be required to support equipment buy-offs and training at vendor/customer sites.
