A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Consultant Engineer to join its expanding team in Dublin. With a strong reputation in the power and energy sector across Ireland and the UK, the company is investing in technical expertise to support a growing portfolio of energy infrastructure projects, particularly in thermal power generation.
Your new role as Consultant Engineer (Energy Generation)
You will play a key role in the technical delivery of energy generation projects, with a focus on thermal technologies including gas turbines, CHP systems, and steam cycle plants. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to project phases ranging from feasibility and concept development to detailed design, due diligence, and commissioning.
What you will need to succeed as a Consultant Engineer (Energy Generation)
To be considered for this role, you should have:
1. A degree in Mechanical, Process or Energy Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
2. Experience working on energy generation or thermal power projects
3. Knowledge of thermal systems including gas, steam, or combined heat and power technologies
4. Experience with performance analysis, system design and project lifecycle delivery
5. Familiarity with energy regulations, permitting processes, and commercial drivers
