Overview
Asset Servicing Product Manager (Hybrid) role at Citi. Citi has had a presence in Ireland since 1965 and operates as the Citibank Europe Plc Headquarters. The Custody Asset Servicing Product team focuses on developing products for the Custody business lines and supports the Global Custody EMEA business, with a focus on Investor Clients in the London and Luxembourg Global Windows.
The role involves working closely with business, legal, risk and operational partners to identify and implement product changes and enhancements in line with business, regulatory and market requirements, and participating in industry forums to keep Citi informed of market changes.
Responsibilities
* Work within the Custody Asset Servicing team to meet the goals of the EMEA Global Custody business.
* Agree product development priorities as part of the annual plan with Custody business owners.
* Understand, communicate and implement global product strategies with a primary focus on product extensions.
* Collaborate with the global asset servicing BaNCS project team to ensure the platform is developed and rolled out in line with business requirements.
* Help define new product scope and create detailed Business Requirements Documentation with operations and technology to describe core product functionality based on client demand, regulatory requirements, or strategic objectives.
* Ensure products are developed and implemented in line with business requirements and documented in the Product Catalogue (reviewed annually).
* Work with risk, legal, compliance and other internal partners to obtain required business approvals for new product developments.
* Support relationship and sales teams as a product expert when discussing new opportunities with clients.
* Assist with the implementation of pilot clients and ensure documented processes and procedures are in place.
* Keep abreast of market trends and client needs, working with clients and coverage organizations.
* Review and influence market standards on transparency and data elements; ensure Citi platforms support enhancements.
* Participate in relevant industry governing bodies and the EMEA Deal review process as applicable, representing the EMEA Global Custody business.
Qualifications
* Extensive relevant experience.
* Strong securities background with a focus on asset servicing.
* Proven client-facing experience is beneficial.
* Background in operational processes, technology platforms and front office activities.
* Ability to analyze different processes and identify inherent risks.
* Good interpersonal and communications skills.
* Both a strong team player and self-starter.
* Creative and resourceful problem solving.
* Proven project management and implementation skills.
