Our client offers a unique opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, with the flexibility of hybrid working from their office in the Wilton area of Cork.
Occasional modest travel will be required.
The Power Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing a clean electric future by planning and developing the distribution network to meet the evolving needs of our client's customers.

Utilize industry-standard power flow analysis tools (e.g., Synergi, PSS Sincal) to evaluate the impacts of renewable integration, flexible loads, customer demand connections, and reinforcement strategies on network performance.
Customer Connection Handling: Oversee the end-to-end processing of grid connection requests in line with CRU guidelines and internal procedures.
Provide timely and clear responses to customer inquiries about proposed connection solutions.
Project Leadership: Lead innovative planning and infrastructure development projects, managing all stages from early concept and feasibility to successful delivery and implementation.
Technical Documentation: Prepare key documentation to support capital investment proposals, including detailed studies, financial evaluations, and technical approval submissions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including private customers, developers, government planning bodies, local authorities, and interest groups.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2 to 5 years of work experience in engineering.
Strong technical capability with a proven track record of high-standard delivery.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Strong analytical decision-making skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
Full clean driving license.
Proficiency in using power system analysis software (e.g., Synergi, PSS Sincal) is desirable.
