OverviewFS Project Manager Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager - Consulting at Grant Thornton Ireland. This role focuses on delivering consulting services in finance transformation, operational excellence, project and change management, strategy, digital, and business transformation, with emphasis on core project management responsibilities in the banking and financial services domain.Grant Thornton is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Consulting team. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment with opportunities to build on existing skills while working with talented professionals.We are committed to a flexible working environment and to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion as part of our workplace culture.Roles & ResponsibilitiesManaging the delivery of complex projects for key clients across various industries, ensuring high-quality outputs and meeting deadlines.Defining and driving projects across all stages of the project life cycle.Supporting the preparation of project documentation including status updates, governance updates, RAID logs, project initiation documents, etc.Supporting development of comprehensive project plans, defining roles and responsibilities and creating clear communications strategies.Collaborating in cross-functional teams spanning multiple business units and functions.Experience in mapping end-to-end customer journeys for retail banking products such as personal loans, mortgages, and credit cards.Supporting Senior Management in overseeing and executing project delivery.Business DevelopmentActing as a liaison between multi-faceted project teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment across stakeholders.Facilitating workshops to define project scopes and business requirements, ensuring outcomes are documented and shared with stakeholders.Supporting proactive stakeholder engagement across disciplines to drive project momentum and success; assisting with proposals and tenders for new client opportunities.Education and CertificationsA third level degree with a strong academic record.Project Management certification with demonstrated ability to apply best practices (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) to deliver measurable outcomes.Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience depending on the level applied for.Skills and CompetenciesStrong Project / Programme Management experience supporting large multi-disciplinary teams.Financial Services Industry experience including Retail Banking, Asset Management and Insurance.Understanding of retail and commercial banking products (loans, mortgages, credit cards).Proven track record of delivering projects across all stages of the project life cycle in complex environments.Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and commitment to client service excellence.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Experience in supporting business development opportunities and crafting/responding to client proposals is favourable.Experience engaging with C-Suite/Senior Management and effective communication.Ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail and a proactive, initiative-driven mindset.Life at Grant ThorntonOur reward and benefits are designed to create an environment where our people can flourish.
