Accountant (Part-time - 2–3 Days/Week) – Manufacturing/Distilling Sector Co. Kildare (Hybrid options available) Part-time | 2–3 days per week Permanent role A growing branded manufacturing business in the luxury Spirits / distilling sector is seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant to become its first finance hire. This is a rare opportunity to join a small, high-performing team at an exciting stage of development and help shape the finance function from the ground up.The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering closely with operations. This role begins with a focus on Accounts Payable and financial operations, but will expand over time into broader management accounting, controls, reporting, and systems development.What You'll Do:Initial Focus – Finance Operations & Accounts PayableManage end-to-end AP processes, including invoice matching, reconciliations, payment runs.Support raw material and production-related purchasing (e.g., packaging, barrels, logistics).Maintain accurate duty-suspended and duty-paid finance records.Industry-Specific Finance SupportAssist with excise-related reporting and bonded warehouse financial requirements.Process supplier invoices for casks, storage, bottling, A&P spend and other operational services.Controls, Reporting & Month-EndSupport month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and Revenue guidelines.Finance Function DevelopmentIntroduce process improvements and support the rollout of an ERP system.Help build simple, scalable finance processes as the business grows.What We're Looking For:Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).5+ years' experience across accounting, AP, or financial operations.Experience in manufacturing, distilling, brewing, food & beverage, or similar sectors (advantage).Strong systems and Excel skills; ERP experience essential.Someone comfortable working independently and owning their area.Someone ready to contribute to and help build a collaborative, entrepreneurial, can-do start-up cultureA senior candidate seeking a flexible, part-time role with real impact.
