Job Description: A leading manufacturing site in Limerick is seeking a skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer to oversee plant maintenance, drive project delivery, and provide day-to-day leadership within the engineering function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain plant reliability and manage contractors
* Guide engineers and technicians across a busy maintenance environment
* Direct shutdowns and major overhauls, troubleshoot failures, and improve equipment reliability
* Support and deliver large-scale plant improvement projects
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in heavy industry manufacturing (710 years of relevant experience)
2. Strong understanding of reactive & preventative maintenance strategies
3. Able to plan downtimes, manage resources effectively & deliver projects on time
