We are seeking a proactive and technically sharp Junior Design Engineer to contribute to the next generation of world-class equipment.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer passionate about mechanical design, heavy equipment, and implementing precision technology in machinery.
Key Responsibilities The Junior Design Engineer will work under the mentorship of Senior Engineers to support the full product lifecycle from concept to production, focusing on robustness and manufacturability.
CAD Design & Drafting: Utilise 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks/AutoCAD) to design new components and modify existing product assemblies for equipment and booms.
Documentation: Generate and manage detailed manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications.
Prototyping Support: Assist in the construction, testing, and validation of prototypes, including field tests, to ensure designs meet performance and quality standards.
Manufacturing Liaison: Work closely with the workshop and production teams to resolve design issues during the fabrication and assembly process (welding, steel fabrication, hydraulics).
Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant machinery safety standards and regulations.
Candidate Profile & CompensationEssential Criteria Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing (SolidWorks experience is an advantage).
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and fabrication techniques (welding/steel).
A practical, hands-on approach and an interest in heavy machinery.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Compensation Salary Range: €35,000 €40,000 per annum (Depending on experience and academic qualifications) Location: Co.
