About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Hardware Data Analyst to join our Merchandising team, supporting our hardware category through data‑driven insights, reporting, and space analysis that directly influence our in‑branch customer experience and commercial outcomes. This role will be based in Hallam at our Support Office, with occasional duties to travel within the Bowens network.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Analysing hardware sales, inventory and market data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
* Developing clear, user‑friendly reports that provide actionable insights for merchandising and leadership teams
* Maintaining accurate and reliable data sets, including space and product databases
* Supporting sales forecasting and inventory planning using data and trend analysis
* Conducting space analysis to optimise product placement and maximise sales performance in branch
* Supporting merchandising projects through data analysis and reporting
* Identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance merchandising efficiency
* Assisting with monthly reports and other ad‑hoc analysis as required
* Proactively identifying potential risks such as stock imbalances or range gaps
We are looking for an individual who possesses the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience in an analytics role, ideally within retail or merchandising
* Strong ability to interpret complex data sets with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into insights
* Proficiency in MS Excel and the broader MS Office suite
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a continuous improvement approach
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal stakeholders
* Experience in space planning or exposure to space planning software will be highly regarded
