This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading contractor as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working in the Construction Sector and a relevant EHS qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Health and Safety Manager in implementing the company's Safety Management System.
* Ensure site personnel comply with site safety requirements and company policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the project EHS Manager.
* Identify training needs and report requirements to the project EHS Manager.
* Deliver Health and Safety Inductions and weekly Toolbox Talks to site personnel.
* Organise and chair Safety Meetings to promote a safe working environment.
* Review sub-contractors' Method Statements/Risk Assessments and provide assistance where required.
* Assist with accident/incident investigation reports and submit weekly reports to management.
* Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately.
* Advise site teams on drafting Safe Plans of Action.
Requirements
* Relevant 3rd Level EHS qualification essential.
* Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar role is essential.
* Experience working in the Construction Sector desired.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
* Excellent organisational and planning skills.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in a team environment.
