Job Description
At AECOM, we are recruiting a Project Director to join our Dublin office.
Responsibilities
Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
Maintain a proven track record in business development and work winning within the healthcare and education sector.
Undertake line management and/or supervisory responsibilities, motivating and mentoring team members.
Contribute to the management of project‑management team outputs, meeting agreed timescales and quality standards.
Manage the full project lifecycle from initial inception, business case development, design, procurement, site delivery, commissioning, to defects management.
Handle projects with complexities such as litigation, environmental protection, and due diligence.
Work largely independently, receiving basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.
Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
Typically manage projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Sector Experience / Workload
Infrastructure and aviation.
Qualifications
Degree qualified – BSc or MSc – in Project Management or another construction or engineering‑related profession.
Professionally qualified – ideally Chartered Project Manager status with the RICS, APM, CIOB, or another equivalent institution.
