Job TitleCloud Infrastructure & IT Financial Operations SpecialistSalary€75,448 pa (Other arrangements may apply if you are currently a serving civil or public servant)Tenure5-year fixed term contractJob TitleCloud Infrastructure & IT Financial Operations SpecialistSalary€75,448 pa (Other arrangements may apply if you are currently a serving civil or public servant)Tenure5-year fixed term contractWork LocationDublin officeClosing DateMidnight, Thursday 26th March 2026Role ProfileWe have an exciting opportunity in SEAI Cloud Infrastructure & Financial Operations Specialist in the IT Department which is part of the Corporate Services Directorate.The IT Department provides support across all aspects of SEAI operations, with teams focused on several areas: IT Project and Business System Programmes (PMO), Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, IT Operations including IT Helpdesk, IT Governance, IT Change Management, and Cyber and Information Security.This position will play a key role in the IT Department in supporting the implementation of Cloud Migration Strategy which is part of the IT & Cyber Security strategies, followed by on-going support and improvements.Reporting to the IT Operations Manager (with a dotted line to the Chief Information Officer) the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI’s ambitious ICT Strategy and customer centric digital services.Essential RequirementsThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:A degree (minimum Level 8 on the NFQ or higher) in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or a related field.A minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience working in project planning, implementing and managing private/public cloud infrastructure and services and financial analysis (a master’s degree may account for 1-years’ experience).Demonstrated experience with cloud cost management tools and platforms.Demonstrated experience in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audience.Experience with Microsoft Azure.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.Proficiency in analysing data.Familiarity with SQL and creating visualisations with BI Platforms.Strong understanding of networking, security and cloud computing principles.Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices to ensure a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.Desirable RequirementsFinOps certified practitioner.Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware.Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Solid understanding of ITIL process framework including incident, problem, change, release and capacity management.Ability to build valued relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues to assist in delivery of continuous improvement in IT service delivery.Ability to work cross-functionally to solve issues creatively and constructively.Irish Language proficiency.Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.Eligibility to WorkThe SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland.
