CE Assistant Community Development Worker in TVG

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department. To register your interest you can contact an Employment Personal Advisor (EPA) in your local Intreo Centre. Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
Eligibility and Registration

Responsibilities
* This is a developmental opportunity; no prior experience is necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
* Work from a health-based approach, considering all areas of Traveller lives that can impact health.
* Work with the TVG health team to support initiatives improving Traveller health outcomes.
* Network with local, regional and national Traveller organisations.
* Promote awareness, interest and knowledge of Traveller health matters through regular contact and networking with relevant agencies.
* Support development of group work for Traveller men, women and young people.
* Support the development and delivery of TVG’s health response, collaborating with the health team and other TVG projects.
* Carry out other duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator and TVG Management Committee.
