Secure Land Control Agreements for Renewable Energy Projects
* A proactive approach to securing land control agreements is crucial for renewable energy projects in Ireland and Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, first-rate legal and business acumen, and a proven ability to balance competing priorities.
* The role involves negotiating land control agreements with third-party service providers and internal land negotiators. Additionally, the Associate Counsel may provide legal advice on aspects of project development lifecycle such as planning permission, electrical grid connection agreements, and equipment supply contracts.
In this position, you will cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external legal service providers, joint venture partners, and investors. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to achieving desired outcomes and resolving complex issues in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Familiarity with land control in Ireland including options, leases, rights of way, easements, and other forms of consent related to development projects.
2. Proven ability to direct internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
3. Excellent writing skills, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
4. A willingness to take the initiative and display resourcefulness.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law or a related field.
* Qualified Solicitor with the Law Society of Ireland or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years PQE and/or 2-6+ years in-house experience supporting property and/or energy transactions in Ireland.
