Environmental (EIA) Consultant - Naas at WSP. We are looking for a consultant-level environmental professional to support our Environmental Management and Assessment Team in Ireland, based in Naas. The role spans projects across sectors such as onshore and offshore renewables, aviation, nuclear, rail, and more. We seek a proactive individual with a solid grounding in environmental design, assessment and management throughout the development lifecycle.

A Little More About Your Role
As an EIA Consultant within WSP’s Environmental Assessment and Management team, you will work with a range of technical environmental specialists and design teams across multiple sectors to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments. The role spans feasibility through to planning, detailed design, construction and handover/maintenance, and involves coordinating bidding, project team management, project delivery and financial management. You will have the opportunity to work with a team across Ireland and the UK where inspiring work and a fulfilling working life are a priority. A typical week could include:
* Coordinating environmental assessments and EIA
* Collaborating with diverse environmental specialists to shape sustainable projects
* Developing innovative techniques, including digital EIA
* Preparing well-presented information products such as environmental statements and sustainable design reports, as well as new project bids
* Applying business operation skills to manage time and budgets, including costing new work proposals

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
As an EIA Consultant, you will work with a range of technical environmental specialists and design teams across multiple sectors to manage environmental inputs to project designs and assessments. The role suits an enthusiastic individual looking to influence, manage and deliver environmental elements of engineering projects across rail, highways, energy and commercial/residential sectors, from feasibility through to planning, detailed design, construction and handover/maintenance. You will help to manage projects and coordinate tasks related to bidding, project team management, project delivery, and financial management. You will have the opportunity to work with a great team across Ireland and the UK where inspiring work and a fulfilling working life are a priority. A typical week could include the following responsibilities:
* Coordinating environmental assessments and EIA
* Working with diverse environmental specialists to shape sustainable projects
* Developing innovative techniques to enhance project delivery, including digital EIA
* Producing compelling environmental statements and related design reports
* Managing time and budgets, and costing new work proposals
Required qualifications and attributes include:
* Degree in an environment-related field
* Professional membership (IEMA, IES, CIWEM or equivalent)
* Experience on energy projects, including EIA
* Knowledge of environmental issues and planning frameworks in Ireland
* Experience across sectors such as energy, highways, rail, housing
* Experience liaising with cross-disciplinary teams, clients and external bodies
* Strong communication, writing and presentation skills
