I have a brand new permanent opportunity with a financial services client of mine based in Galway. This will be a hybrid position, with a requirement to be onsite 1 week per month (3 weeks fully remote from Ireland).
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of software development experience using
Python, NodeJS, or Java
, with emphasis on SDLC and automation.
* 5 years of experience in
AWS cloud development and migration
, including building and operating highly resilient platforms.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Practical expertise with
containers (Kubernetes)
and
serverless applications (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3)
.
* Hands-on experience with
Infrastructure as Code
tools such as
Terraform
and
AWS CloudFormation
.
* Strong background in
CI/CD pipelines
using
Jenkins Core
.
* Proficiency in scripting with
PowerShell
or
Bash/Unix shell scripting
.
* Solid understanding of
Linux administration, networking, and load balancing
.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with application teams to support deployment activities.
* Design and maintain shared pipeline utilities for cross-team use.
* Administer AWS cloud accounts and perform ongoing maintenance tasks.
* Develop reusable code templates and document standardized procedures.
* Monitor infrastructure for performance optimization and cost efficiency.
* Participate in scheduled on-call rotations to provide operational support.
