Our client, a global leader in automotive semiconductor technology, is establishing a new engineering team in Cork to focus on their cutting-edge Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) products. These innovative solutions target key automotive applications such as battery management, advanced sensing, and human-machine interfaces.
They are seeking talented Verification Engineers with expertise across digital and mixed-signal verification to join this highly collaborative, agile group. This role offers the chance to contribute directly to the development of next-generation automotive semiconductor products and work alongside experienced teams based in the US, Japan, and India.
Role Overview
As a Verification Engineer within this new team, you will play a critical part in shaping the verification environment by designing scalable and reusable testbenches and strategies that support a variety of projects and platforms. You will define and implement verification methodologies tailored to complex IP blocks and system-on-chip components, ensuring rigorous validation of digital and mixed-signal designs. Close cooperation with design engineers and post-silicon validation teams will be essential to the successful delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain verification infrastructure, including test cases and verification components.
* Establish comprehensive verification plans applying various methodologies such as constrained random and formal verification.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design challenges and improve verification coverage.
* Support silicon bring-up and post-silicon validation activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with relevant industry experience.
* Proficient with verification languages and methodologies including SystemVerilog, UVM, and OVM.
* Experience verifying complex digital or mixed-signal IP and SoCs is a plus.
* Knowledge of automotive communication protocols and power-aware verification methods is advantageous.
* Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Tcl, or Perl to automate test suites.
* Strong analytical skills, self-driven attitude, and excellent communication abilities.
