Job Title:
Transformation Programmes Director
We are seeking an experienced Transformation Programmes Director to lead a key project within a major IT programme.
About the Role:
* This role involves working closely with senior stakeholders across IT, Sales, Underwriting, and Finance.
* Managing delivery end-to-end and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead cross-functional teams across architecture, business analysis, software engineering, testing, and release management.
2. Define project scope, governance, budget, resources, and delivery plans.
3. Develop and manage schedules, work breakdown structures, and risk registers.
4. Provide regular progress updates at steering meetings.
5. Identify and resolve issues, implementing corrective actions where needed.
6. Manage third-party vendors to deliver against project expectations.
7. Oversee testing, business readiness, and smooth transition to production.
8. Ensure strong collaboration and communication between technical and business stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* 7+ years' experience in project management, ideally delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
* Proven track record in financial services, insurance, or similar regulated industries.
* Strong knowledge of end-to-end project management processes.
* Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and engage stakeholders.
* Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM or equivalent).
* Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma) is a plus.
