Position Overview
The Counsellor will provide counselling services to individuals and families dealing with family relationship, marital, and divorce issues. This role includes offering information and referral services, conducting intervention programs for adults and children affected by divorce. Additionally, the candidate will manage the development and delivery of programs, including reporting and evaluation requirements, and collaborate with community partners to enhance service delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Casework & Counselling
Maintain a reasonable caseload.
Identify and assess the needs of the clients after which, plan and implement appropriate intervention plans with them.
Support the agency’s casework system including administration, intake, referral, evaluation and closure of cases.
Ensuring that KPIs set by MSF are met.
Information & Referral (I&R)
Provide appropriate information and referral services to people who are referred or contacted our Centre for services.
Support the Centre’s I&R standard operating system of administration, intake, appropriate referral, outcome follow-up and closure of I&R.
Mandated Programmes
Undertake to implement mandated programmes according to MSF guidelines and ensuring that the programmes meet KPIs set.
Work as a team player evaluating the mandated programmes in meeting the needs of the clients.
Outreach
Assist in the Centre’s outreach to partners and SSAs within the service boundary.
Other Duties
Undertake any other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the supervisor and Centre Director.
Qualifications & Experience
Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree / Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in working with families / couples / children.
Registered with SAC (preferred).
Experience in facilitating children / adult group work / support group (preferred).
