We offer a wide range of services from product development and formulation to packaging.Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Junior Formulation Chemist to join our New Product Development (NPD) Team. This role will involve the research and development of new products, creating formulations for liquid food supplements with a cross-over to cosmetics formulation, where required and depending on business needs. The position requires a passion for innovation with extensive cross functional engagement including direct interactions with the customer and with our commercial managers.The main responsibilities of the role are:Develop and Reformulate liquid formulations.Partner with the commercial managers for active communication and engagement with customers to interpret and manage their product needs from product brief throughout the product lifecycle.Research and development of new product concepts to successful scale-up.Evaluate the performance of the product, to be aligned to customer / company requirements.Work with regulatory team to ensure compliance of formulations with relevant global regulations.Carryout product testing, such as accelerated stability, compatibility and packaging functionality and deal with external labs where required.Research, source and order ingredients and raw materials for trials and pilot batches, in line with procurement strategy. Supervise and coordinate pilot batches and production trials.Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to help manage formulation scale-up of approved formulations, to include identification of critical process variables for production, and to identify production processing and equipment needs including lab.Work with team members to provide specification paperwork and samples for new formulae and new raw materials to Quality and Operations.Work closely with QC / QA for formulation troubleshooting.Validate industrialization of formulations.Maintain the product development laboratory utilising good laboratory practices; identify lab capability requirements and associated resource and equipment needs.
