Main Responsibilities
1. Kitchen Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, managing staff, and ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest standard.
2. Leadership & Team Development: Lead by example, fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the kitchen, and ensuring a cohesive team environment.
3. Menu Development: Create innovative seasonal menus using the finest local produce.
4. Financial & Operational Efficiency: Manage labour costs, roster scheduling, food ordering, and wastage to ensure a smooth, profitable operation.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess:
* A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a senior kitchen leadership role (Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef)
* In-depth knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, dietary requirements, and allergens
* Experience in creating SOPs and recipe guidelines
* A strong passion for food with a flair for innovative menu design
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively, especially in high-pressure situations
* Proven time management and organisational skills
