Head of IT Finance
to help drive our ambitious growth strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to support transformative IT initiatives that will shape the future of our business, enabling us to scale and innovate in new ways.
This role is suited to an individual who is a qualified accountant, enjoys a fast-paced environment, is comfortable in building and managing relationships at senior/executive level and has an interest in how IT transformation will shape the future of the business.
What you`ll be doing:
Leading and developing a small team of finance professionals (3 including this role)
Sitting as a member of the IT Leadership Team · Business partnering to the Chief Technology Officer and the senior IT leadership team across the Group
Working with the wider business, including Retail, Wholesale and Supply Chain, provide decision support and investment analysis in respect of IT transformation projects across the Group
Support the Transformation Office in the assessment of project related benefits and post investment reviews
Lead the Forecast, Budget and 3-year plan process for IT opex and capex spend
Oversee the management of monthly, quarterly and year end cost reporting for the IT function versus budget - delivering analysis, insight, and decision support to the business
Identifying process improvement opportunities across all areas of IT Finance including reporting and cost allocation methodologies.
Where applicable, identify where these opportunities may extend to other areas of Finance
Ensuring adherence to internal and external financial governance and risk management on behalf of finance for IT, including appropriate cost capitalisation in line with accounting standards
Provide ad hoc decision support to the Chief Technology Officer and Finance Director as required
Support the senior finance team to deliver the One Finance and transformation strategy.
What we are looking for:
Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years PQE
Exceptional team leadership and communication skills and a proven ability to influence at a senior level
Comfortable dealing with large capex portfolios and the governance/financial management of same
Experience in business partnering across a large organization and working with these partners on business cases and investment appraisals
Strong systems orientation, ability to navigate IT environments and experience in change management
A strategic and curious mindset capable of challenging with a view to delivering the optimal outcome
Confident analytical, presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Excellent self-discipline and organisational skills
Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively within different situations and with multiple projects, teams, and individuals
An understanding of modern IT delivery models (agile, cloud, SaaS) and their financial impacts would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite
