IT Systems Engineer – Migrations Specialist

The Role: IT Systems Engineer – Migrations Specialist requires specialized technical expertise and should have
Leading technical integration systems into customer environment
Expertise in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, identity federation, and migrations
Your responsibilities:
Leading IT and technical integration and transition.
Expertise in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, identity federation, and migrations
Microsoft 365 Workloads: Deep technical understanding of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
Identity Technologies: Expertise in Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure AD Connect, ADFS, Conditional Access, and MFA.
Migration Tools: Proficiency with migration tools
Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing IT infrastructure (mailboxes, file shares, user identities, applications) to develop a detailed migration strategy, including coexistence plans, pilot criteria, and rollback procedures.
Identity and Access Management (IAM): Configure and manage identity synchronization using tools like Azure AD Connect, implement single sign-on (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and support federation services such as ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) for secure authentication, google work space
Migration Execution: Perform migrations of various workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams) using native or third‑party tools, ensuring data integrity and minimal user disruption.
Configuration and Implementation: Coordinate DNS changes (MX, SPF, DKIM records), configure mail flow, and set up application integration and security protocols (e.g., Conditional Access, DLP policies).
Troubleshooting and Support: Act as an escalation point for complex migration and post‑migration issues (“hypercare”), conducting root cause analysis and collaborating with other teams and Microsoft support to resolve problems promptly.
Security and Compliance: Implement security baselines, data retention, and governance policies to ensure the new M365 environment adheres to organizational and regulatory requirements.
Your Profile
Strong skills, experience in Google Workspace
Microsoft 365
Identity federation and migrations
IT integration system experience
Desirable skills/knowledge/experience (As applicable)
IT migration experience
Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G dependant, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
