The Role
* Coordination and supervision of all works on commercial & residential projects.
* Act as a point of contact for direct staff, subcontractors, clients and design team.
* Report into and support the contracts manager and site quantity surveyor
* Oversee manpower on site including, direct staff and subcontractors and consult with local authorities when needed.
* Manage the procurement of materials as per site requirements.
* Perform administration duties as required e.g., Update the site diary, receive and process deliveries, incident forms when required and site inductions.
* Managing sub-contractors and personnel on site to ensure that productivity levels are high.
* Liaise with trades carrying out external works such as; bricklayers, window fitters, façade installers, roofers etc.
* Ensure that company policies including H&S policies are adhered to on site.
* Host tool box talks and meetings with direct staff to outline the works required.
* Prepare reports on Project Management Software
* Modify and update the project programme with senior management to ensure key milestones are met across projects
* Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation
* Ensure compliance with BCAR
* Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
Requirement
* A minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar role with a main contractor or developer as Foreman, Working Foreman, Groundworks Foreman, Externals Foreman or
* Third Level Qualification in relevant Construction Discipline
* Open to applicants with trade background willing to advance to role of site foreman
* Residential experience is advantageous.
* Third Level Qualification in relevant Construction Discipline
* Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks, and programme
* Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
* Be motivated, organised and have excellent time management skills
* Have good computer skills
* Good knowledge of construction material and processes
* Be able to multitask with a strong understanding of contracts manager duties
