Collaboration And Delivery
The EMEA CCPM Category Lead works closely with Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) and Global Engineering Technology (GET), particularly the Engineering Design, Project Delivery, and Construction teams responsible for strategic capital projects. The role also partners with suppliers providing Architectural & Engineering (A&E), Construction Management (CM), Automation, and Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) services, as well as with engineering and business stakeholders, to support successful project delivery.
Organizational Context
The CCPM category sits within the Capital, Construction & Facilities Services (CCFS) family and reports to the Director of Procurement, CCPM. CCFS forms part of the Supply Chain Services Procurement (SCS) organization within Johnson & Johnson’s Enterprise Procurement function.
Key Responsibilities

Category leadership and sourcing: Lead procurement for the Capital Construction & Project Management (CCPM) and Capital Equipment (CE) categories across JJIM EMEA capital projects. Contribute to sourcing strategy development and alignment, and lead execution across sourcing, negotiations, contract implementation, compliance, and target delivery.
Spend, value, and financial performance: Manage medium- to high-complexity spend in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver value by optimizing cost, capability, cash flow, and schedule outcomes, and meet financial commitments including project cost contribution, savings targets, cash flow objectives, and support for the J&J Free Cash program.
Strategy execution and program deployment: Lead initiatives aligned with the Capital Construction & Facility Services (CCFS) strategy and ensure global procurement programs are deployed effectively across the CCFS EMEA team and JJIM sites. Support delivery of the Innovative Partners Program in EMEA in partnership with the J&J Engineering & Property Services Program Lead.
Supplier and vendor management: Manage procurement activity and supplier relationships across preferred vendors supporting short- and long-term projects, with performance assessed across financial results, quality, service, and compliance. Serve as Supplier Relationship Manager for key EMEA vendors across priority spend areas including architectural engineering, construction, automation, and commissioning and qualification.
Stakeholder partnership and demand planning: Identify business demand and planning requirements and partner with leaders across Supply Chain, E&PS, R&D, Finance, and Procurement to deliver annual value improvements and strengthen competitive advantage. Represent Procurement in key meetings and support the transition from construction through business operational readiness.
Supplier performance and innovation: Engage directly with supplier leadership to align on quality, reliability, innovation, and cost objectives. Lead supplier relationship management through performance monitoring, data analysis, capability development, and end-to-end value improvement, while bringing innovation to the business.
Cross-functional collaboration and issue resolution: Partner across other CCFS categories such as MRO, Facility Maintenance, and Energy, as well as with indirect procurement teams including IT, HR Services, Transportation, and R&D, to support project needs as required. Anticipate, escalate, and resolve issues that may affect Procurement or team performance using a collaborative, Credo-based approach.
Transformation and continuous improvement: Lead strategic projects that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of procurement processes. Collaborate across functions to advance business performance through market intelligence, risk assessment, total cost analysis, process improvement, and relevant automation or AI initiatives.
Leadership standards and compliance: Build strong, value-added relationships with internal and external stakeholders, integrating Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and CEO Leadership Imperatives into day-to-day interactions. Communicate business issues and opportunities to the next management level, comply with all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements, and perform other assigned duties as needed.

Strong experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, category management, and supplier management within complex supply chain environments is essential.
Leadership and stakeholder management: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical, supply chain, and functional partners, supported by strong team leadership, collaboration, and cross-functional project delivery experience. Strong business and financial acumen are required, along with experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations and engaging internal and external stakeholders in a service delivery environment.
Negotiation and influence: Proven ability to build value-based supplier relationships and negotiate commercial and non-commercial terms to achieve business objectives.
Professional strengths: Strategic mindset, disciplined and data-driven thinking, strong collaboration and influencing skills, learning agility, openness to change, and comfort working in ambiguity.
Regulated environment and functional knowledge: Experience working in highly regulated, stakeholder-intensive environments, with the ability to represent Procurement effectively across teams and external partners. A good understanding of procurement processes and operations is preferred, including experience in areas such as sourcing, category management, requisition-to-pay (R2P), or accounts payable.
