Amazon's Enterprise Network team is looking to hire Network Engineers to help scale and automate one of the world's largest and most complex networks.
The Enterprise Network provides mission-critical global connectivity for internal services, business applications, datacenter infrastructure, and over 1,000,000 internal users. In this role, you will seek innovative and creative ways to automate and scale our next-generation network architectures.
We are seeking an experienced Network Development Engineer to join a highly skilled team that designs and automates the growth of next-generation networking products deployed across AWS data centers worldwide.
AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous service for our customers. We tackle challenging problems with numerous variables impacting the supply chain, and we are looking for talented individuals eager to contribute.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Collaboration across AWS is key to delivering high standards for safety, security, and capacity at minimal cost. We foster an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas and empowers ownership.
Key job responsibilities
* Deploy network infrastructure supporting Amazon Retail Service and AWS services across all network fabrics.
* Scale and automate our network across global data centers, including new and existing locations.
* Identify opportunities and develop tools to enhance scaling velocity and quality.
* Create and improve repeatable processes for network deployment.
* Collaborate with internal teams on design solutions, from concept to production.
* Maintain and update network standards to ensure compliance.
* Define platforms and frameworks to support unprecedented scaling.

Basic qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field
* 5+ years of professional experience in large-scale networking environments
* Experience with internet routing protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and network operating systems like Cisco IOS and Junos
* Experience working in a Unix environment
* Proficiency in Bash or other programming languages
Preferred qualifications
* Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting skills, especially performance analysis
* Experience diagnosing problems with customers and working toward resolution
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
