. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced
Electrical Project Manager
to join their Cork-based operations.
Role Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the
end-to-end delivery of electrical packages
on high-tech construction and engineering projects. The role requires a strong
electrical bias
, excellent stakeholder management skills, and proven experience delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. The successful candidate must be
commutable to Cork
and comfortable working across fast-paced, technically complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate electrical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on site
* Manage the full lifecycle of electrical projects from design coordination through to commissioning and handover
* Ensure all works are delivered in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards
* Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
* Liaise closely with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment
* Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE and site safety requirements
* Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
* Identify risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required
* Produce regular progress reports and project documentation
Key Requirements
* Electrical qualification or trade background (essential)
* Proven experience in an
Electrical Project Manager
or similar role
* Strong background delivering projects within
pharmaceutical, food & beverage, petrochemical, or industrial facilities
* Solid understanding of electrical systems including LV/MV distribution, containment, instrumentation, and controls
* Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and variations
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in regulated, high-spec environments
* Must be
based in or commutable to Cork
Desirable
* Degree or third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience working for specialist M&E or electrical contractors
* Knowledge of GMP and other regulated industry standards
