Brady Underwriting is our wholesale brand and we are currently seeking applicants who are starting out in underwriting or wish to make the switch from commercial broking.
Our successful candidate will have a track record in commercial insurance and be ambitious to grow and develop themselves in a supportive company.
The candidate must have an APA commercial at minimum, but higher qualifications are desirable.
We want an individual who has shown a desire to learn and has strong insurance capabilities.
Role Location
: Carrick on Shannon, Co.
Leitrim with WFH arrangements after probation period is completed
As a commercial underwriter your responsibilities will include
Negotiating and securing both new business and existing business.
Developing broker relationships & communication with broker customers
Analysing submissions and collating data to make decisions on risks.
Liaising with capacity providers on risks
Keeping accurate product knowledge and ability to converse and explain policy covers, conditions etc.
Working closely with Underwriting team to offer a professional and efficient service
The successful candidate will:
Have a proven track record in commercial broking or a junior underwriting role
Possess demonstrable drive, self-motivation and determination to achieve results
Be an energetic, motivated and disciplined individual with a positive attitude.
Have a CIP qualification or be working towards this goal
Have excellent communication, negotiation and IT skills
Have perfect verbal and written English
Have the ability to positively embrace change
Possess a calm and considered demeanour, particularly if under pressure
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and innovation
