Senior Health & Safety Advisor
to oversee the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and ISO systems across multiple sites.
Role Overview
The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO standards, Irish health & safety legislation, and company policies. This role involves close collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, councils, and site teams to maintain the highest safety standards across diverse projects.
Responsibilitie
s
* Overall planning and implementation of health & safety and ISO systems
* Keep systems updated with current legislation and ISO requirements
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure documentation is current
* Ensure all training for crews and operatives is up to date
* Conduct daily site audits and inspections across multiple project types (retrofit, roofline, plumbing, insulation)
* Monitor key risks including working at heights, public safety, and use of power tools
* Prepare and update RAMS, method statements, and health & safety documentation for tenders and projects
* Liaise with builders and councils (Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Tipperary, Kerry, Galway, Dublin)
* Ensure training certificates and method statements are regularly updated for all sites
* Oversee implementation of standards across sites in Mallow, Kilbarry (Cork City), Dublin, Galway, and in Dungarvan
* Coordinate with external audit companies and manage reporting to the senior H&S function
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Minimum 5+ years' experience in a senior health & safety role within construction or retrofit projects
* Strong knowledge of ISO systems and Irish health & safety legislation
* Proven experience conducting site audits and managing compliance across multiple locations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to lead, train, and motivate site teams and subcontractors
* Flexibility to travel weekly to Dublin and other depots as required
* Experience in Ireland or the EU is essential
