What you’ll do
As an SMB Sales Manager you will identify new customers and creative ways to drive more businesses to purchase, while utilising Docusign’s diverse solution suite. This position is a people‑manager role reporting to the Area Vice President, Commercial, France.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead a French Account Executive (AE) SMB sales team
Develop and implement upgrade and renewal process and strategies, and ensure compliance to internal data management and reporting including use of Salesforce.com
Assess sales activities and forecasts to determine sales progress and required improvements
Recommend and implement improvements to reach sales goals
Coach salespeople to develop their sales skills including vertical market management, forecasting, prospecting within account base, negotiations, and other necessary skills; while maintaining individual accountability to goals
Maintain and protect Docusign by hiring culturally aligned team members and leading by example
Contribute in complex negotiations and the closing of new business, including appropriate use of Senior Sales and Commercial Executives to improve results
Work with each AE to develop and implement vertical‑wide business and sales plans to achieve sales quota
Ensure the team effectively uses sales tools and systems consistently and in alignment with Rules of Engagement
Communicate and prioritise product and business needs from the field to appropriate corporate departments
Identify and support opportunities for the training and professional development of your team
What you bring
Basic
2+ years of related experience
Fluency in French and English
BA or BS degree in a business or a technical related field of study
Software sales experience in both an individual contributor and management role
Preferred
Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals
Attracting, retaining, and developing high performing, high potential talent through assessing, selecting, onboarding, coaching, and developing
Ability to manage multi‑tiered customer relationships; demonstrated ability to coach and mentor
Ability to collaborate with business partners across Solutions Consulting, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, Business Development and Channels to ensure alignment on go‑to‑market strategy
SaaS based document workflow application experience
Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities
Steadfast focus on customer success
Driven, optimistic, strong work ethic, humility, and excellent communication skills
Operates well in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment without requiring significant supervision
Proven track record of successfully managing high performing software sales teams
